One Week Old!

I realize that it appears that all Avery ever does is sleep. Well, for the most part, this is true. She was pretty tired out after her big trip to the doctor's office yesterday. We are proud to report that she gained an ounce and a half in the two days since her last appointment. She is now weighing in at an impressive 5 pounds, 14.5 ounces, which is in the 5th percentile of babies at her gestational age. She is in the 25th percentile with her length and the 10th percentile with her head circumference. What a pipsqueak! We were a little bit concerned when we learned that she was in the 5th percentile but the doctor assured us that she is healthy and is moving in the right direction. She has been eating constantly since then so I am pretty sure she is going to break 6 pounds at her next appointment on Tuesday.


Our little burrito baby is taking a snooze in her favorite place, her Daddy's lap. Look at how tiny she looks compared to Josh's hand!
